Carr-Willower Memorial Scholarship Fund

Catherine Carr-Willower, a former Ashland resident, now living in State College, has created a scholarship to honor Mrs. Willower’s parents, brother and sister, and her husband, Donald Willower.
According to the wishes of Mrs. Willower, the earnings of this Scholarship Fund shall be awarded annually to graduates of North Schuylkill High School, Cardinal Brennan graduates who graduated in 2007 and earlier as well as graduates of any Catholic High School who reside in the geographic areas served by the school districts of Mahanoy Area, North Schuylkill and Shenandoah Valley at the time of their graduation from a Catholic High School. The fund provides scholarships for their attendance at any accredited college or university, and this shall include funding for graduate work. Preference shall be given to graduates who plan to enroll, or are enrolled in a program leading to a Bachelor, Master and/or Doctor degree in education, and/or educational administration. Although preference shall be given to this group, this shall not constitute a limitation, and grants may be made to graduates not in this group.
This fund provides scholarships to graduates of North Schuylkill High School, Cardinal Brennan High School graduates, and graduates of any Catholic high school who reside in the geographic areas served by the school districts of Mahanoy Area, North Schuylkill, and Shenandoah Valley who will major in the field of Education.
