Dorothy Wewer Narcovich Scholarship Fund

“My Aunt Dorothy was extremely charitable and generous during her lifetime and even more so in her death,” said Thaddeus Madden, her nephew. “Her bequest, which has lead to the creation of the Dorothy Wewer Narcovich Scholarship Fund, will help children from the Ashland area attend a Catholic school based on financial need and academic excellence. With the help of Schuylkill Area Community Foundation this will be a fitting legacy to her faith, love of Ashland and commitment to Catholic education.”
This fund provides scholarships to students who are members of St. Mauritius Roman Catholic Church or St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Ashland or its successor (which is currently St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church) and who will be attending any Catholic high school in Schuylkill County or the surrounding area.
