This unique fund was established as a celebratory gift on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Mrs. Loretta Lonoskie. Her granddaughter, Loretta Mistishen, believed a tribute to her grandmother during her lifetime would be a dignified way to honor her birthday milestone. The Loretta Pollack Woznisky-Lonoskie Fund is an annual high school award for a student attending Pottsville Area High School who has demonstrated concern and dedication to preserving the environment and sustaining our green spaces. Mrs. Lonoskie maintains a meticulous garden at her home in Mechanicsville, which has been a haven and retreat for many friends and family over the years.
