Stephen Fago Memorial Fund

North Schuylkill High School will be adding two new awards for their graduating seniors. Stephen Fago, a former Butler Township resident, passed away on November 14, 2008 leaving a Last Will and Testament in which he bequeathed 10% of his estate to Schuylkill Area Community Foundation. The Stephen Fago Memorial Fund will be invested along with 120 funds and the earnings from this endowment fund will be distributed annually as follows:
- One half of the earnings to a graduating senior of North Schuylkill High School who specialized in math or science. The administration of North Schuylkill High School shall make recommendations of candidates for this award to the Directors of Schuylkill Area Community Foundation.
- One half of the earnings to a student of the North Schuylkill Technical Center in Frackville who is a gradating senior also of North Schuylkill High School, for his/her outstanding record as a student at North Schuylkill Technical Center. The administration of North Schuylkill Technical Center shall make recommendations of candidates for this award to the Directors of Schuylkill Area Community Foundation.
This fund provides an award to a member of the graduating class of North Schuylkill High School who specialized in math or science, and an award to a student of the North Schuylkill Technical Center for his/her outstanding record.
